Help! I Want to Be a Leader

Right now, I want you to visualize a leader. What do you see? Someone who is attractive, outspoken, commanding, and popular? Is this the type of leader that Jesus calls His disciples to be? Whether you realize it not, you have influence and are leading someone. But how, and in what direction, are you leading those around you? In a tense interaction Jesus has with His disciples, He reveals how to be a true leader, and the leadership style He describes is unlike anything they have ever heard. By understanding Jesus’ prescribed form of leadership, you might learn how to lead others and even unlock your purpose in life.

Servant leadership: these two words that apparently contradict one another are actually inseparably bound together through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The “LifeLine Mini-book for Teens Series” meets critical needs for today’s young people. The biblical approach, structured presentation, and personal application projects make these mini-books ideal for parents and other counselors of teens. Thank you Shepherds Press and The Wilds for beginning to fill a crucial void in biblical counseling tools.

— Dr. Jim Berg

This new series should provide some great help for young people at a crossroads on issues having to do with peers, parents, worldly voices, and inner struggles. I wholeheartedly endorse this effort designed to bring the Scriptures to bear in a relevant way for both teens and those ministering to them.

“Unlike the many counseling resources we can find for adults, there are few directly relatable to teens and the issues they face. These mini-books bring the Scriptures to bear in a relevant way for both teens and those ministering to them.”
