Born out of decades of experience counseling thousands of teens at The Wilds Christian Camp, these short booklets are written to guide a teen and someone discipling them to “think Bible” about a relevant topic.

Kelli Dionne
Kelli Dionne (MABC) serves as an ACBC certified counselor at Faith Biblical Counseling Center in Spokane, WA. For nearly forty years, Kelli has enjoyed ministering to women and children through counseling, conference speaking, and writing. She and her husband, Dan, have three married children and eleven grandchildren.
Ernie Baker
Ernie Baker (M.Div., D.Min.) is chairman of the Master of Arts and online undergraduate degrees in Biblical Counseling at The Master’s University. Active in pastoral ministry for over 40 years, Ernie also serves with Biblical Counseling Ministries Worldwide and as a Fellow with ACBC. He is the author of many biblical counseling resources, including Marry Wisely, Marry Well.
Jim Newheiser
For over forty years, Jim Newheiser has faithfully served the church through pastoral ministry, biblical counseling, teaching, and writing. He also serves as an ACBC Fellow and board member, Director of the Christian Counseling Program at Reformed Theological Seminary, and the Executive Director of IBCD. He and his wife, Caroline, live in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Tom Sugimura
Tom Sugimura serves as a pastor, professor, and church-plant mentor, while training counselors through The Master’s University, ACBC, and Biblical Counseling Ministries Worldwide. He and his wife, Amanda, are raising four children in the wilds of Los Angeles and share their stories in Hope for New Dads. Tom also blogs occasionally at tomsugi.substack.com.
Ernie Bowman
Ernie Bowman is a teacher, writer, and former school principal. A Bible college and seminary graduate, he has worked in Christian education and student ministry for twenty years, is married to Natalie, and lives in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
Andy Naselli
Andrew David Naselli (PhD, Bob Jones University; PhD, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School) is Professor of Systematic Theology and New Testament at Bethlehem College and Seminary, and lead pastor of Christ the King Church in Stillwater, Minnesota. Andy and his wife, Jenni, have been married since 2004, and God has blessed them with four daughters.
Rachel Dahlhausen
Rachel, an ACBC certified counselor from Greenville, South Carolina, serves as a lead women’s counselor for Student Care and as an adjunct professor at Bob Jones University. Rachel loves walking alongside young women as they face life’s difficulties, teaching them to know and love the God whose image they bear. She is an active member in her local church and loves the great outdoors.
R.J. Lago
R.J. currently serves as the Student Pastor at First Baptist Church of Jacksonville’s Nocatee Campus in Jacksonville, Florida. Certified as a biblical counselor through ACBC, he is also pursuing an MDiv. He resides in Florida with his wife, Alyssa, and their four children. R.J.’s mother died in 2002, when he was seven years old.
Rachel Coyle
Rachel is an ACBC certified counselor, author, and Bible teacher. With over 20 years of experience in counseling and discipleship, she’s passionate about helping women and students understand and apply the Word of God to everyday challenges. She lives with her husband in South Carolina where she writes and home-educates the children remaining in their emptying nest.
Gracie Nelson
Gracie Nelson (MABC) is an ACBC certified counselor and middle school Bible teacher. She also counsels youth and young women at Heritage Bible Church in Boise, Idaho. Her deepest desire is to help the next generation and their parents to believe that God’s Word is sufficient to deal with every problem they may face.
Leighton Upton
Dr. Leighton Upton (Ed.D.) has served teens for many years in Christian education, the local church, and various para-church ministries. He is currently the Director of Campus Life at a Christian school in Savannah, Georgia. Additionally, he serves as an adjunct professor, teaching undergraduate courses on the subjects of religion and education. Leighton and his wife, Janelle, live in Savannah, where they are raising their family.
Sue Nicewander Delaney
Sue Nicewander Delaney is a longstanding ACBC certified biblical counselor, author, trainer, and mentor who knows what it is to suffer shame and find God’s mercies. She lives in Wisconsin with her husband, Darren, sharing the blessings of four children and nine grandchildren. They serve as members of Calvary Baptist Church in Wisconsin Rapids.
Justin Daugherty
Justin Daugherty (MABC) is an ACBC certified counselor who has served teens in church, at Christian camps, and in hospitals. He is pursuing a PhD in Applied Theology with an emphasis in Biblical Counseling. Currently, Justin is a high school Bible teacher in Savannah, Georgia, where he lives with his wife, Jenna, and their son.
Tim Endean
Tim Endean, MDiv, has served teens for many years through camp, publishing, and church ministries. His current ministry with CampsAbroad has taken him to more than twenty countries. Tim and his wife, Rachel, live in Clemson, South Carolina, where they are raising their family.
Chris Anastos
Chris Anastos is the Director of Camper Experience at The Wilds in North Carolina. He has served at The Wilds in various capacities since 2009 and is an active disciple maker in his local church. He enjoys preaching, biblical counseling, creating camp programs, and laughing with many of the staff and campers that attend. He and his wife, Tara, have four children.
Kelly Collier
Kelly Collier (MABC) is an ACBC certified counselor with over 25 years of experience in counseling teenagers and women. She serves with The Wilds Christian Association, which ministers to teenagers around the world through Christian camping. She and her husband, Matt, have three children and live in Brevard, NC.
Jim Newcomer
Dr. Jim Newcomer has served in pastoral ministry since 1994. Additionally, he teaches biblical counseling in several graduate institutions since 2000. He is certified through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors. He and his wife Lorie reside in the Metro Detroit area of Michigan.
Zach Sparkman
Zach Sparkman, ThM in New Testament, has served teens in various settings: local churches, camps, and schools. Currently, Zach serves as a lead pastor in the Metro Denver area of Colorado with his wife and four children.
Matt Collier
Since 1999, Matt Collier (M.Div., D.Min.) has served in various capacities related to youth ministry, including youth pastor, senior pastor, President of The Wilds Christian Association, and Director of CampsAbroad, an international organization that helps local churches reach teenagers through Christian camping. He and his wife, Kelly, have three children and live in Brevard, NC.
